HFN’s upgrade has now passed more than 750 homes, and Logan Park is ready for its turn. Residents in Logan Park and the other active areas can schedule a free home upgrade while crews are working nearby.
To celebrate, on August 18 we held a pop-up at Logan Park, with Highlands Council’s Party Wagon adding to the celebration. It was a chance to mark the neighborhood’s turn in the upgrade, meet the HFN team, and talk through what comes next at home.
The HFN team scheduled upgrades directly at the event. Logan Park residents who had not yet made an appointment could ask their questions and leave with an installation on the calendar.
The evening also gave residents a chance to hear from people already using the new network service. What they are seeing at home helps HFN keep improving a network that belongs to the community.

If you live in Roanoke Woods (Bear Park), the free-upgrade window closes on August 31. Schedule before the deadline through the HFN upgrade page.
This is a large, multi-year infrastructure project, and the work is different from one neighborhood to the next. Some areas need deep underground fiber construction. Others need quicker equipment updates. HFN is moving neighborhood by neighborhood, so the work is done carefully and disruptions stay as limited as possible.
When a home is upgraded, its existing service moves to a faster Fiber plan at the same monthly price:
Use the HFN upgrade page to check your address. If your home is in an active area, you can schedule your free upgrade. If it is not ready yet, leave your information and HFN will reach out when crews are working nearby.
If work passes your home and you do not schedule during your neighborhood’s free-upgrade window, you have two choices: wait until the full rollout is complete or choose Skip the Line for a $150 installation fee.
