A new year brings with it plans for a better future. Highlands Fiber Network is in heavy planning for the future. Efforts continue a pace on moving the entire network to a more modern infrastructure as technicians are actively replacing the older multi-mode fiber network areas with single-mode fiber. In addition, HFN has been actively looking at additional upgrades to network electronics and infrastructure planned to start later this summer. And the Home Support team of technicians has been busy servicing residents across the highlands while also installing and assisting with home tech upgrades.
If you still need to install all that cool new tech from the Holidays, remember our Home Support team has your back. Our team can quickly drop by and get your new doorbell or camera set up and installed. Are you sluggish? The Home Support team can swing by, look at your equipment, and ensure you are getting the most out of your connection. For more details on what Home Support offers, check out all the details on the Home Support Page.
As you may have noticed, there has been some maintenance work conducted by network engineers recently in the late evening or early morning hours. Engineers have been busy upgrading network links to popular destinations, expanding bandwidth connections, and improving connectivity overall across the network. More recently, there have been some emergency maintenance events. These were due to an issue we are tracking in the network inhibiting consistent connections for some residents. We take disruptions very seriously, and although the impact of emergency maintenance can be disruptive, we are working diligently to make sure all residents experience the great connection everyone else in the community does. Engineers are investigating and expecting additional maintenance events while the issues get resolved, so you may see additional event notifications.
If you have any questions or encounter any connectivity issues, please contact support directly so we can work with you to resolve the issue. Our team can help walk through the issue over the phone or in person. Don’t hesitate to contact support directly at 425-427-0999 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org](mailto:email@example.com) if you experience internet issues.
